What We Need to Know
If you are looking to hire an Oxygen Concentrator from The Oxygen Store, please note that you must have medical supervision and approval from your Doctor or GP to travel. In most cases, you may have already completed a Fit to Fly Test (also known as a Hypoxic Challenge Test) conducted by your Respiratory Nurse.
To proceed with the hiring process, we will need to know what your doctor or GP has prescribed flow (LPM), and we will have to determine whether you require a constant flow of oxygen or a Pulse Dose Oxygen Concentrator (Portable). If you plan to use the concentrator on a flight, please visit our website's "Travelling by Plane" section for more information. It is important to note that all our machines are FAA approved, ensuring safety and reliability.
Rental Period
We typically deliver your rental oxygen concentrator to your home at least 5-7 days before your scheduled use (excluding emergencies). This advance delivery helps ensure you receive the machine in sufficient time for your holiday and allows us to address potential delivery problems. Additionally, early delivery will familiarise you with the concentrator's operation and settings before you travel. Suppose you are using a portable oxygen concentrator. In that case, this timeframe enables you to charge all the batteries fully and ensures we have enough time to guarantee your satisfaction with the tubing and cannula. If any additional items are required, we can easily send them out to you prior to your trip.
Check Before Dispatch
We want to ensure your concentrator is in top condition before shipping it. That's why we sterilise and carefully check each unit to ensure it is fully functional and ready to use. Additionally, we provide new tubing, cannula or masks along with every concentrator.

We require at least two weeks' notice for oxygen concentrator hire, subject to availability; however, we can do less time subject to availability.
